Aaron Church, with the Burke County Manager’s office, recently had a conversation with our investigative team. After waiting for a response from a public records request for 2 days, we contacted the manager’s office to confirm they had received it. Mr. Church was unwilling to work with us to ensure that the county had received the request, and confirmed that only 2 people worked in the office – meaning 1 of 2 people are responsible for loosing the first request.
